Laundering & Pressing: Poplin vs. Twill vs. Oxford

Published:

Different fabrics deserve different care. Here’s how to keep your shirts looking their best:

  • Poplin

    • Machine wash cold.

    • Hang dry or tumble dry low.

    • Iron at medium-high heat for a crisp finish.

  • Twill

    • Machine wash cold.

    • Tumble dry low or hang dry.

    • Wrinkle-resistant; may only need light pressing.

  • Oxford

    • Wash in warm water (more forgiving weave).

    • Tumble dry low or hang dry.

    • Slightly textured surface hides wrinkles well.

Pro Tip: Always wash Deo Veritas shirts inside out and avoid bleach — it weakens cotton fibers.
