Manual Measuring Guide: The 13 Body Points

If you prefer precision, manual measuring is the gold standard. Here are the 13 key points we use:

  1. Height

  2. Fit Style - Traditional, Tailored.  -(most popular), and Slim

  3. Shoulders - Normal, Sloping, Square

  4. Weight

  5. Front Length – from the shoulder seam to the waist.

  6. Collar – around the base of the neck.

  7. Sleeve Length – shoulder seam to wrist.

  8. Chest – the fullest part of the chest.

  9. Stomach – around the natural waistline.

  10. Hips – the widest part around the hips/seat.

  11. Shoulder Width – from shoulder point to shoulder point.

  12. Biceps – around the widest part of the upper arm.

  13. Wrist – around the wrist bone.

Tips:

  • Keep tape snug but not tight.

  • Ask a friend for help with your shoulders/back.

  • Double-check each measurement twice.
